Matt and I planned a surf/relax trip to the Los Cerritos Surf Colony a few months ago, and despite our pending move to Mexico City decided to go ahead with the trip. We had stayed at the same hotel in 2012 just after our wedding after finding a great deal on Groupon ($399 for 4 nights in a 2-bedroom casita – it is typically $399 per night). We found the same deal on Groupon again last fall and convinced our dear friends Annie & Jonas from Florida and Bristol & Manu from San Fransisco to join us for a mini Miami reunion in Baja. Theo stayed home with the grandparents, so it was a relaxing adults-only trip
We flew from San Diego to San Jose del Cabo (we booked tickets before CBX had opened, so we weren’t aware of that option yet) and rented a car to drive the hour north to Los Cerritos, a small surf community just south of Todos Santos and Pescadero on the Pacific coast of southern Baja.
We spent five days surfing, playing beach games, laying by the pool, swimming, eating lots and lots of tacos, and drinking delicious margaritas.
